feeding ducks and geese at Lord's Park

A few weeks ago, Uncle Billy, Aunt Mary Ann, and Grandma Kloss came into visit us. While they were visiting us, I took them to a fun spot I like to go to, Lord's Park. There we got to feed bread to the ducks and geese there at the pond. It was really fun. I even got to see some deer, bison, and elk, too. They have a nice big playground where I like to run around and play on, too. Thanks having fun with me at the Park!

Ann's baby shower

July 25th we helped host a baby shower for Drew's sister, Ann. I think Ann and Todd are pretty prepared and seem ready for little Cali's arrival this October! They got a lot of nice things at the shower, and of course, Cali will be the best dressed baby as she is borrowing a lot of Alicia's baby clothes, too. Alicia was very excited to be at her baby cousin's shower, and was aware that Aunt Ann had a "baby in her tummy" which was very cute. Thanks to everyone that attending Ann's baby shower, as we had a great turnout and a fun afternoon. Check out Cali's blog here - http://arnoldfamilysite.blogspot.com/

happy 2nd birthday, Megan!

We celebrated Megan's 2nd birthday in late July at the Suttmann's house. The kids really enjoy their big backyard and got some quality running around in :) The kids were playing with the mini cornhole set showing some skills already. Alicia really liked playing the cute girly girl role and enjoyed being pulled around by the boys in the big red wagon. She was surely playing the princess card in telling them where she wanted to go. Happy birthday, Megan! We are glad you enjoyed all your cool presents and had a happy day.

Bix Race Weekend

In late July, we participated in the Quad Cities Bix 7 Race. The night before, we stayed at our cousins, the Schroeder's, house, and the kids participated in the little Jr. Bix Race. Just like last year, some storms decided to roll into the area and we thought maybe the races would get cancelled, but it managed to stay dry enough during the kids race for a nice turnout. Alicia, and her cousins Amara and Alyssa did a great job at the jr. race. Everyone came home with a medal and treats! While we were waiting for the race to start we ran into our other friends (Scott & Courtney) that have a boy the same age as Alicia, and she got to run with Reid in the 4 year old race! Early Saturday morning was mommy and daddy's race. Mommy did the 2 mile race with Drew's cousin Amanda and Andy, while Daddy did the 7 mile race. During the race, it was really rainy, chilly, and just kinda yucky for a race day, but everyone did a great job despite the weather conditions and finished the race. Some people loved the rain for running in, but I think mommy and daddy would have rather been dry. Luckily, Alicia got to stat dry from the rain at the Schroeder's house with Aunt Sandy, Amara and Alyssa's grandma, for some inside fun. Later that morning, the rain and stormed moved through the area, and the sun came out providing for a great day to be outside. The girls then got to go outside in the Schroeder's backyard where they had a blast swimming in the pool, playing in the yard, being silly in a jump house, and really enjoying the waterslide on their swingset. Yeah, for another fun Bix race weekend!
