chew..chew..chew...

well I sometimes think we have a new puppy on our hands, as the last week or so Alicia has been loving to chew on things more than she has ever before...I guess before she was just tasting the objects and now she is chowing down on them.. aka this pacifier in which she hated before and now likes to occasionally chew on it, not suck it, but actually chew... I guess it is just another symptom of teething, along with her oh so lovely attitude she has had the past few days... happy one minute, and the next she is rolling herself all about in like agony and crying/holler as loud as she can go on the floor, and about a minute of so later, she is content again... sigh... not fun...

so the question is, does anybody know if the tooth fairy lady can deliver teeth too? if so I'll pay... big bucks if all of this will stop...

oh, also, on a new cool thing she has been doing the last couple of weeks is that she is finally holding on to her bottle by herself! yeah!

We went to the park today and enjoyed the nice weather and Alicia sure did to seem to have fun.

well, I think I have aged about 10 years last night. We had a few neighbors over for supper and Alicia was showing off her standing skills and was holding herself up on her little caterpillar toy - i was right behind her and all of a sudden I turned towards the front door to close it and Alicia turned as well to watch me and she tumbled to the pergo floor behind us. Of course, she couldn't have fell on the carpet where she was standing. We all were a bit shaken up...she's got a little shinner above her eye, and cried like no other.... but she was pretty happy and back to herself about a hour later... but boy. it was sure scary.. so does anyone know where I can buy a little bubble for her cause I think this is just the start of her bumps and bruises...

Lately Alicia has been liking her exersaucer a lot more than her jumperoo... I think it is because of all of the cool doodads on her exersaucer compared to the jumperoo.. she is more interested in how things work right now.. somedays I call her my little thinker as she sometimes "analyzes" her toys to figure out what exactly they do or how they work.

hello, my adoring fans...

Well it has been a little busy here, we've been visiting some of the family back home and then some of the family has been visiting us the last few days, but it sure has been fun. We went out for a walk while the weather has been starting to get nice here, as Alicia loves the sun and the stroller. Here she is waving at the paparazzi (aka, mommy and Grandma) taking pictures.

So I was just looking through some older pictures on the computer and I came across this one and I was like, I really like this one and I don't think I've ever seen it before or if I ever posted this one in the past. So I'm doing it now, a few many months too late.. but better late than never.

-Also, I think Alicia has had a milestone this weekend, she is starting to wave more finally! :) yeah Alicia! Hopefully we'll capture that one on video/picture soon.. so far she hasn't performed on camera for that yet ;)

rollin' rollin' rollin'

well Alicia is definitely getting mobile...she just rolls, rolls, and rolls some more. She tries crawling a bit, but just kinda goes in reverse, so nothing real productive in that aspect, but she sure knows how to get where she wants by wiggling around and rolling :) I think we will need to buy the gate soon for the steps as she goes from one side of the room to the other side of the room in just minutes. One thing she has figured out is that the pergo floor isn't very fun.. she is kinda like a fish out of water on it.

9 months of cuteness

yesterday afternoon I took Alicia to the Picture People to get her 9 month photos taken. wow, they did a great job, way better than all the other places we went to for her 3mo and 6 mo pics.. makes me wish I went there before, but atleast now I know where we will be going for her 1 year pics. Drew and I are trying to make some decisions on which ones to get for enlargements, so if anybody has any advice let us know! Well, Alicia wasn't too sure about her first visit with the Easter Bunny. She didn't cry, but by her actions she wasn't too thrilled.
"Here comes Petter Cottontail hoppin' down the bunny trail...Hippity hoppity Easters on its way!"

funny bone

Well, lately Alicia thinks some of the craziest things are just so funny. just recently she's been laughing and giggling at some odd things; such as the sound of velcro, when daddy burps, or when I make sounds/noises at her trying to get her to mimic me back... so in hopes of getting Alicia to repeat me, I keep trying, even though some days it is just too funny to go on...

look what Alicia has just figured out how to do, she has done it a few times, but she hasn't mastered it yet, however, she is sure trying... we managed to catch it on video the other night... enjoy.

Guest Blogger here, Just writing as Heather was out running errands, and I have Alicia for a bit. Iowa happened to play (and beat) Illinois today in College Basketball, so We decided to dress up for the game. Alicia was more interested in the TV than her toys as u can see in this picture.

Alicia had her 9 month checkup yesterday, and her stats were: 26 inches long 13 lbs 4oz (around there i can't remember exact #s). She went thru the gamut with shots and fluid work, This pediatrician does a lot at the 9 month checkup.

met a new boyfriend today!

Alicia got to meet yet another new boyfriend this afternoon! Christy, a friend from work, stopped by today to visit with us - and I finally got to meet her son, 4 month old Evan. What a handsome boy!
