Its been a busy week.

Well, As you can see by the lack of posts lately, we've been busy. Since the last post, we've seen the Haney's, Suttmann's, Kulczycki's, and some random things.

I'm trying something new.. and posting some links of various pictures, for those that want to see more without completely cluttering up the blog. Don't worry, you'll see a few pics below

Here's one of Sam peddling, with Alicia sitting on the back. It was really cute.

Alicia and family visited Lucas and family. Alicia taught Lucas how to eat some sweet corn, and boy did he like it. Then they both wanted to take a bath, so we took advantage of their willingness. Hey Lucas, looks like you are having too much fun in there. :)

Side note for those actually reading this... There's a video of the 2 of them dancing at the google link above. its kinda cute.. check it out.

Drew had a picnic at work, but since Heather's work has been crazy busy, so I brought Alicia without mommy. :( It was still a good time. She painted, met a few friends her age, and played in the inflatable jumpy thing. Here's a few pics.

Below are some pics of her in the inflatable jumpy thing, painting with Emily, and Colin.

Side note: She wasn't a big fan of the ponies.. she wanted to go towards them, but not sit on them. :(

Wii Ski
Here's Alicia demonstrating Wii-Skiing. Its a mini-game as part of Wii-Fit. She's starting to really mimic our actions and movements lately. (Yup.. i know i need to be careful what i say) Sometime she does it next to mom and "jumps" at about the right time too. (Fred -- Alicia may soon break your record cause we sure can't)

softball fun

Alicia and I managed to stop over and visit daddy on Tuesday night for one of his softball games near work. Alicia liked to climb on the bleachers for the most part, every so often she'd clap for the guys and cheer on daddy, too. She just looked so cute that day, and of course, no real camera handy, so camera phone came to the rescue. Here's Alicia enjoying the sun and softball that evening...

Then on Wednesday night, when the Drew and I both get a change to take turns and play some softball, our nice friends also take turns and help us watch Alicia when we are on and off the field. Here, this cooler sure makes for a fun ride-on toy :) Especially when you have nice friends that pull you along... thanks for the ride, Jim & Karen! Lucas and I really had a good trip from the softball field to the car.

relaxing weekend

After a crazy week, it was sure nice to just relax and have some fun.
Saturday, mommy and daddy took me to the pool at the park district where I had a blast splashing around.

Then later on Saturday, Carl (and his mommy and daddy) came over and we played Wii fit! Carl and I both were able to fit on the wii balance board together (we even were able to share it without having a big fight over it, too) -- maybe we can share?! nah... as my new favorite word is "my" or "mine" lately.

Then this morning, I started out my day with my favorite breakfast meal - McDonalds! It really is my most favorite meal of the day. I ate all of my sausage patty, some eggs, and almost all of mommy's hashbrown, too. Then after breakfast, I got to catch up on the Sunday ads.

Last, my other favorite new word is "bubbles!" Enjoy the video of me chasing "bubbles" from my cool Elmo bubble blower.

I needed the good stuff to get better....

Quick update:

For those that haven't heard... Alicia picked up a stomach bug over the weekend and when we came back on Saturday night, she got "sick" later that night thru until Monday morning.

Daddy brought Alicia into the pediatrician on Monday morning for a quick check and eventually got admitted in for de-hydration. Monday she basically slept the entire day. Tuesday she had more bloodwork done, and she was hydrated more, but still not eating/drinking. They've reduced the IV fluids a bit, and now, basically we are trying to see if she'll be able to eat/drink enough and for it to stay down to be able to go home tomorrow. :) (Yesterday, she was stubborn and refused to drink anything... today it must of tasted better). Today she is on the BRAT diet... how fitting ;) haha...

Here's a few pictures mommy took from her phone.

Alicia starting to feel better finally playing in the PICU area...

And finally, the good stuff :)

Maybe tomorrow, they'll let us out of here Elmo....

A vist to NW Illinois

Well, Alicia's not feeling too well, so Drew stayed home and decided to blog up the last weekend. We made a trip to Elizabeth this weekend. It was one of Heather's highschool classmates local wedding reception. (They are from California and were actually married last fall).

We stayed at Heather's Cousin's place Friday nite. Donald and Teri have 2 kids Libbey (around 4 years) and Sophie (about 4 months). Libbey is like a big sister to Alicia. Its always great to go back. They colored, played house, and napped together. Its really cool watching the two of them together. (It even gave us time to play some Euchre... )

The next morning Alicia ventured out into the yard. Libbey has a pretty cool swingset/park area in back. Here's a few pics

Then we made it to the wedding.. here's a few pics from the reception. It was at the Galena Territories, and we realized when we were there, we'll have to make another trip this fall. Alicia was ham at the reception, but then she crashed as seen in the pic with mommy.

Then we head to Eric and Vera's for a bbq. It was a good time... Alicia got to see the Kloss side, play with some pot/pans and visited some cows.

All in all it was a fun weekend. and looking forward to doing it again sometime soon.

Tanner's "house"

Well, I'm always looking to find better ways to hide things or space saver ideas at the home, and the other night I found the coolest thing, it was a kitty litter house (that actually looks nice - see finished product below). Anyways, while I was making it, Alicia decided she wanted to help me, too. As you can see in the video she still needs to work on her skills here on... :) but she really does try. I guess she is taking after some of the men in my family, since her Uncle Billy and her late Grandpa Kloss' careers are in tool and die making. I think we might have to buy her a tool set :)

fun in the sun

last weekend, the kiddies sure had fun in the Suttmann's backyard. Lucas, Carl, Kaylee and Alicia seemed to thoroughly enjoy themselves a lot. Carl and Alicia really liked the kiddie pool, as I think they spent half the day in there! We had to pull them out of the water a few times just to give them a break and make sure they didn't turn into sun-dried wrinkled up raisons :)
At one point in the afternoon, the dad's decided to move the kiddie pool to a different spot in the yard, and oh boy, the water works started by all of the kids! I think they thought their pool was going to go away forever, they were quite upset. The kids also practiced their t-ball skills with the new t-ball set we bought for Alicia. You know we've got to start her early :)
