Happy birthday, sweet little Alicia Jo! It has been a wonderful 4 years for all of us. Since the very beginning, we knew she was going to be a special little girl to us. More and more, every day we see her grow, and can see the twinkle in her eyes and the spunk in her step. Alicia might not fit the mold for the "typical" 4-year old, but she sure is perfect to all of us. Might be a lil' bit in stature, but she makes up her smallness with her strong will and stubbornness :)

Fun with Carl
The other night Carl was pulling Alicia in the wagon! Carl was doing a
great job pedaling his big trike, while Alicia was like "i'll ride in
back, carl drive" - oh it was cute. Very nice of Carl to pull Alioa
around on his bike :) The kids sure had a lot of fun playing outside
in such nice weather, yeah for summer.

Bikes
Alicia's been liking her bikes more this year than in the past. This is probably due to her getting taller and reaching the pedals easier. She's actually outgrown her tricycle which Uncle Billy gave her a few years ago... So i think we will be obtaining a bicycle (hand-me-down from one of Heather's co-workers) in the near future. We had Alicia pick out her helmet yesterday... and of course she picked out the Princess one.
She's excited to go biking now... I'm sure we'll be doing this more and more in the near future.

Here's a few pix of Alicia riding her bike recently.

happy 1st birthday, Everett!
Happy birthday to Everett Alan Haney! Everett turned 1 on April 22. John and Katie graciously opened their house a few weeks ago to celebrate, while big sister Samantha played a great hostess to all of the little friends as well.

Happy Mothers Day!
Happy Mother's Day!
Heather, Thanks for being such an awesome Mom! Alicia and I are blessed.
Sit back/relax and enjoy the day.

To do all the things you did,
To be teacher, nurse and counselor
To me, when I was a kid.
Be a chauffeur, cook and friend,
Yet find time to be a playmate,
I just can’t comprehend.
That made you come whenever I'd call,
Your inexhaustible love, Mom
And I thank you for it all.

Brookfield Zoo w/ Suttmanns

Saturday the Kluesner's met up with the Suttmann's at the Brookfield Zoo in Brookfield IL. It was a good trip. Alicia wanted to see the Monkeys and Zebras, and Pigs. The mission was accomplished, but we had to see a wart-hog as opposed to the pigs alicia is normally used to.
It was a very good trip. It was definetly the most excited Alicia's been when going to the Zoo (or the "Jungle" as she liked to call it. It was a quick (2-3 hour) tour of the zoo, but theres always next time. (and the new wilderness area will be open next time).
Alicia had fun climbing up the walls with Lucas to get a better view. Occasionally though she'd try to go one step too high. so we had to hold her back. She was OK with this.. For times when she needed to be taller.. she just went on our shoulders.
Note I (Daddy) missed the sunglasses memo. everyone else had them on but me. After a while Alicia took hers off... so i wasn't alone anymore.. Thanks Alicia.

A side note: Alicia's definetly a smarta$$. Now when asking her a question she doesn't know... instead of saying "I don't know", she goes... "Good Question Daddy!"
