thought it was too cute not to share.

apple river canyon state park
ok... so yeah.. this is a way overdue lost post... I totally thought we put something up from this little visit. I guess not...
Every year since mommy and daddy have been together, they've visited a little state park area called the Apple River Canyon State Park in Jo Daviess County. It is usually just a quick day trip to spend an hour or two taking pictures and enjoying the pretty fall scenery each October.
Mommy and daddy are trying to sort through the old pictures they have and maybe one of these days will be able to find ALL of the years of photos that we've taken there... But for now, here is this year's visit.

Day's of the week song
Thanks to the Suttmann's (Lucas's family) who shot this video at daycare yesterday. It was really cool to see them all singing the Days of the week song. I've heard about it, but now i've gotten to hear it.
Enjoy!
Alicia really likes watching this video as well
Enjoy!

EEG update
Quick update - Alicia's EEG results came back normal, so that is good news! Nothing much more at the moment to report, but we wanted to share a few more cute pictures from the weekend. How much trouble do the kids look in the upper right picture-- I caught Carl and Alicia standing/jumping on a couch and then two minutes later, I saw them again, and instantly they were like... we're good.. we're cute as can be, we can't do anything wrong looks! :) how funny.. then we also got some pictures Alicia helping mommy stir up some cookies, and then Alicia pulling out the "no more pictures" paparatzi shot the other day.

EEG update
Well this week, Ali was a little trooper once again. A few months back you all might remember she had her sleep study done and basically after we had gotten the results back from that, her sleep doctor sent us to a pediatric neurologist to have a referral. The neurologist, who is affialiated with Children's Memorial, works out of the Central DuPage Hospital a few times a week, seemed pretty cool in our first initial visit with him. Because of the central sleep apnea initial diagnosis from the sleep study, he wanted to run a few follow-up tests just to make sure things are ok. Alicia had the one done this week, which was the EEG, which basically watched the brain wave movements while she napped. Shewas way awesome there! She did just a great job sitting there while they were sticking the little eletrodes to her head! The first time she had this done, months ago, she had a fit! I guess she has "matured" a bit in age.. haha.. or it was the fact that Mickey Mouse Clubhouse was luckily playing at the same time on the tv while the technichans were attaching the electrodes. Anyways, after only being allowed to sleep for a few hours the night before since we had to sleep deprive her, she fell fast asleep after a little bit of snuggling with mommy and then daddy and then with mommy again. whew.. atleast she fell asleep and the techs got the data they needed for the EEG and we hopefully are all done with that test! Wish us luck as hopefully we'll hear back from her neurologist in the next few days!
Here's Ali braving the EEG, "what a nice hair cap you have, my dear" :)
afterwards, she got a sucker for being such a great patient! yummo.. "mine, mommy" was all I heard. She did not want to give that up when we got in the van to go home. Then we went out to lunch afterwards, and we decided it was a hat day since her hair was sooo crazy from all of the goo that went into it. "No need for embarassment here folks, got a bad hair day, a hat does the trick..."

Goebberts 2008
A few weeks ago, we finally made our trip out to Goebbert's with the Haney family. The weather was pretty nice despite the windy and chilly temps, but really nothing too much to complain about. No snow or rain :) Last year when we took the girls, they had a pretty good time sitting in the little chairs they had there, this year, only one chair, so they had to share the sitting time ;) (See the link below for more pictures of Alicia and Samantha posing with the characters at Goebberts too!)
While at Goebbert's, the girls partook in the pumpkin lifting contest... and then Sam perfected the pumpkin rolling technique :)Last, the girls made their way to be riding in Cinderella's pumpkin chariot. The were pretty cute. Look at our princesses...
After we got home, we wanted to see if the girls would try on their Halloween costumes, since they would not be able to see each other on the day of Halloween and to be able to share their costumes.. so the girls dressed up and showed off their costumes :) What a sweet funny monkey and a princess!
Go hawks!
The Kluesner gang are ready for the game against Penn St. Heather is

Me at mommys work
Mommy took me to visit her coworkers at lunch today. We were in the area around lunch time, so we thought we'd pop in and visit. It was sure fun to finally meet some of them! Here I am sitting on mommy's chair in her cube.
Speaking of cube's here's a darn cute picture Rachel took one day last week at the Halloween parade, of a few of the kids from Alicia's daycare sitting in their little cubes :) Lucas is in the blue coat, and Alicia is in the green coat... poor me can't remember the other two little boys names... I know I should but I can't recall... Rachel or Karen if you remember, please post a comment with their names... thanks..

brookfield zoo trip and happy birthday Grandma Kloss!
So this is a two fold blog today... I'm a bit behind on the one post, since it was from mid-October, but better late than never. :) and the other is for Grandma Kloss! yeah, happy birthday to Alicia's Grandma K!
The Kloss fam came in to visit a few Sundays ago and we went to Brookfield Zoo. For the last few years, we have supported the zoo and got a family membership, and boy, it is really worth the money since we go so many times a year. While at the zoo, we ran into the Bormets also visiting the zoo! Alicia was soo excited to see her friend Carl there! It was so funny to see the kids "talking" about the animals and doing all of the crazy animal noises :) throughout the zoo. It was such a nice day that day compared to the last visit to the zoo we had with my mom and family, as it was freezing cold then **granted it was new years eve, but still, we couldn't complain at all about the beautiful day at the zoo. Alicia enjoyed everybit of it, plus the whole getting spoiled by her grandma and aunt Mary Ann and uncle Billy too! The last picture near the corner of the blog sums up Ali's big day at the zoo perfectly. It was such a busy day, she didn't even last to the parking lot on the way out... Uncle Billy sure has a nice shoulder to sleep on....

halloween fun

Alicia helped daddy on Halloween afternoon build a big piles of leaves to jump and play in! She was funny about playing in the leaves, as she didn't really jump and throw 'em much until the end. She was more interested in picking out individual leaves and sticks, rather than the "whole" ambiance of running through a pile of leaves. Oh well, it's about the journey of it, right and not the process.
So, this year we let Alicia choose what she wanted to wear treat-o-treating... At first, she chose Elmo, then she wanted to be Princess Ali (thankfully Alicia could still fit into the flower girl dress from Aunt Ann and Uncle Todd's wedding earlier this summer :) She was pretty cute whatever she wore, so it didn't matter, and the weather was nice enough that she could wear either outfit.
Earlier in the week, Alicia wore her Elmo costume for at daycare. Her other good friends, Carl was Tigger, and Lucas was the Scarecrow! What great costumes by all!
Back to Halloween night, Alicia's favorite candy choice for the night was the KitKat! If she had a choice to pick a candy from the bowl, about 3 out of the 5 times, it was a KitKat! And to make her night even better, the last stop of trick-o-treating was Uncle Tony's house, where he had an entire bowl full of just KitKats! She was excited. Earlier in the evening, we barely got through Grandpa and Grandma's house before she was digging into her candy. So we had to divert her and throw some cereal in her candy bag so she'd eat that instead all of the chocolate. yummo... She did such a nice job telling the people "triotreat" and "thank you" everyone thought she was fitting her costume well being a princess :)
