madness x 4

After this last weekend, I know have a whole new appreciation of people trying to take pictures of their kids, especially the younger ones that are into everything... 1 or 2 I can handle- easily, but wow, 4 at once and for them all to smile and be happy! yipes....

I think we would have needed a few more hours in our day for all to be happy and content at once. I think we needed more planning maybe? maybe we shudda prepped the kids for a week or so to get all of the kids on the same nap/feeding schedules and maybe then we would have had about a glimmer of good quality photo taking time....so in regards to that, I think we managed a couple cute ones from our day though. Enjoy the smiles of Kaylee, Carl, Lucas and Alicia.

below:
whoa, watch that hand placement Lucas... and the kiddos sporting their favorite baseball team - Lucas in his Reds outfit, Kaylee and Carl in the Cubs, while Alicia is in Cardinals stuff of course :) and Grease Lighting! all they need now is the candy cigs rolled up in their white t-shirts

The high chair cam - "so hey, you lady behind the camera - are you going to give me food or do I have to pose for another ten million pictures to get some grub around here... "

One last note, kudos to a few of the quad families that I come across their sites recently...they have some amazing stories... the McNulty's- a friend of a friend kinda...http://mcnultyquads.blogspot.com/ and a new quad family I found through the McNulty site, the Steeces http://thelifeofsuz.blogspot.com/ ... the days when I think Alicia is a handful I remind myself, I still have one hand free (and a pair of daddy's hands free) unlike all of these brave couples with their hands completely full! :)

ode to Elvis...

Earlier today I had the radio on and they were playing some classic Elvis songs (as it is the 30th anniversary of his death) and I noticed Alicia started up her wiggle and dance routine and man, it reminded me of the videos of Elvis shaking his hips... so I have managed to round up a few video clips that fit "All Shook Up" perfectly...

country pumpkin

I totally forgot to post this from last weekend-here's a great candid shot of Alicia that I can't take complete credit for as daddy took this pic... here's Alicia in my aunt and uncle's back yard.

more

Alicia has gotten another tooth this week and it appears as if a few more on top are starting to push against her gums as well, so now Alicia has 4 "usable" teeth and about 2 more "making me pissed off teeth" to appear at a later showing...

Here's Alicia in the butterfly garden at the zoo yesterday, more of those photos/videos to come hopefully later tonight. Alicia says to check out her new hairdo... finally she has decided to leave the hair scrunchie in for more than 2 minutes...before she used to rip it out of her hair like it was a poisonous bug or something...

Can I speak with Alicia Hlueazner

Well... Received my first phone call for Alicia. They wanted to her to sign up for some auto deal or something like that. Next time they ask for Alicia... I think i'm just going to hand her the phone.

And btw alicia... they always come up with new ways to butcher our last name.

busy weekend

Over the weekend, we got to see a couple of my mom's relatives from North Carolina were up to visit family. It was the first time they got to meet Alicia, as I think it was about 3 or 4 years ago when I saw them all as well. Also, Alicia went with Grandma Kloss and Uncle Billy to Great Uncle Harvey's bar over the weekend and had a good time eating supper and participating in all of the fun bar games - pool, pinball, and shuffleboard. (sorry no drinking games yet, except for the blowing bubbles in her milk)

pictured above are some of our cousins that made the long trip up for a visit - Kay and Alicia playing; gotcha-Eric Matthew & Alicia were not ready for that picture! and I think Alicia liked her cousin, Kandi, by the look of that cute face.
~ these lights and sounds are pretty cool...

Also, Alicia told Grandma Karen where here nose was, just in case she didn't know that already :)

Alicia has also been enjoying the "itsy-bitsy spider" alot as well, I think Grandma and Grandpa had enough singing for one weekend, but it was so cute, as Alicia kind of does the motions... it is on the very early stages, but you can tell she likes the song and wants to do the motions but can't figure it out just yet. I'm still trying to get video/pictures of her doing it with her laugh n learn puppy that sings it. (btw - here's an endorsement for Fisher Price - that Laugh n Learn puppy is totally worth the money - she has learned where noses are and "so big" and now "itsy-bitsy spider" from it.)
walking update: Alicia also is starting to walk more, but she is still pretty mummy-like walking with her arms out in front of her waiting for something or someone to catch her fall
