more

well just a quick note, today when I picked Alicia up from daycare her teacher told me that Alicia talked today! She said "more" at breakfast. The teachers only give the kids one serving at a time, and make them ask for more if they want more and well, Alicia loves her breakfast sausage, so she actually said the "word" more rather than just motioning for more. How exciting! way to go, Alicia and keep it up.

more weekend fun...

We had a nice afternoon-early evening at the Bormets tonight, where the kids were really having a lot of fun despite some crazy sharing issues.. but that's the age. So we tried to just roll with the tough moments and turn it into more fun for the kids, such as in the wagon "sharing" that turned tears into laughter :) The kids were taking turns pulling each other in a very small wagon, it was actually kinda funny how they seemed to squish themselves into this wagon, that was intented for blocks, but it proved to be just the right size for them all.
Here's a video below of Lucas being a gentleman and taking Alicia for a nice ride in the hallway :)

Now Lucas was a turn, so Carl tries his hand at pulling him :)
Kidpile!!

Poor Carl was taking the brut of it all, but he was a trooper for the most part!

busy weekend

Thursday night Alicia (and daddy) entertained the boys at the house while the mommies all went shopping at the Carter's 3.99 outlet sale! wohoo, new clothes :) Here's the kids enjoying supper sitting at Alicia's kitchen table.

Trips back home to Iowa lately have been a little bit different for Alicia. She is sure no more baby. She no longer sleeps the entire trip and starts to get a bit antsy. So lucky for us, we have a DVD player in our van, unfortunately Alicia still does not sit face-forward yet, so she can not watch an unlimited amount of Elmo and Disney videos during the trip. In to save the day is our portable DVD player that can just sit right in her lap and provide hours of viewing entertainment (and a quite ride for mommy and daddy).

Friday night we stopped into visit some of the family and Alicia found an organ at Aunt Vi and Uncle Bob's house which she absolutely loved! Grandma Bev and Alicia played for quite some time.

Speaking of Grandma's, this weekend we went to a birthday party for Great-Grandma Kluesner! We got to see quite a few relatives and had a lot of fun, Happy 90th birthday GG!

storytime

(I'm sorry the quality isn't too great as it was taken with my phone.)

The other morning I was taking Alicia to daycare and happened to look back at her and she was busy jibber-jabbing in the back. To my surprise, she found one of her books and I guess she was reading me a story on the way to work. :) it was pretty cute... (and yes, safety patrol - I was stopped at a really long red light when I took this picture - we were not moving... )

happy birthday, uncle tony!

Happy Birthday, Uncle Tony!
(this is a bit of an old picture, but it is still pretty cool, we liked the whole Cubs-Cardinals theme together :)
Maybe Uncle Tony will get us get a new picture this summer and possibly Alicia can wear Cubs gear as she always seems to get some for her birthday from our Cubs-friends.

oops, I forgot

Ok, so this is a tad late, I thought I had posted this right after Easter, but I guess not. Sorry! So for Easter this year, Grandma Kloss, Uncle Billy and Aunt Mary Ann came in to visit us instead of us traveling to see them for once.

We had a fun day and a nice sleep over that night.

The weather even cooperated that weekend so we could get outside a bit. Alicia and Uncle Billy had a lot of fun trying out her new tricycle he got her at Christmastime.

Here's Alicia showing Grandma how she plays with the Nintendo DS. Alicia actually knows how to use the stylus the right way and can make some scribble marks on the screen :)

getting into things

so Alicia lately has really been enjoying "getting into things" - not just the normal making a mess-getting into things, but literally getting into whatever she can fit into or sit on top of or into. With her pint size, she literally can fit into just about anything she wants. It is pretty cute... and no, I do not have any say so or help on getting her into these situations! It is all Alicia. :)
