Hey mom, this is Interesting...

Too cute, I heard Alicia quietly sitting and kinda talking to herself in the living room, I go over and look that she actually trying to read her book. She tells me "hey mom, this is pretty interesting"

My little brother's 1st birthday card I made

I made this card all by myself... Well kind of, mommy told me how to spell happy birthday the right way, but I wrote and drew everything else...

Mom, I'm not playing with my food...

"I'm painting with it actually." haha. Good one Alicia. I asked her previously is she was having fun playing. And she responded with that. :)

Writing sentences

The other day in the van I hear Alicia talking in backseat and she's been "writing" in her notebook. When I parked to get her out I asked to see what she did. Usually it's some scribbling and pictures. But sure enough, she did write some sentences!! Nice work, Alicia. She said she wrote 2 sentences, "I am a cat. I am a dog." then she began to say "it was a story she's writing." If you look closely at the picture you can see her sentences! She did pretty good spelling except for one letter out of place, dog was more like don or dom. I'd still give her an A though! ;-)

More mac and cheese please!

Woah, think the seasons are changing for sure... Usually Alicia doesn't like the homemade Mac and cheese stuff but today she actually ate my version and wanted seconds! Sweet!!

It's a teddy bear picnic

With this unusually warmer weather (in january, yes no snow, 50 degree temps and sunny) Alicia has been wanting to picnic the last few days. So today I said sure. So Ben, Alicia and I had one inside on the floor and laid out our picnic blankets and enjoyed a "teddy bear" picnic lunch. Teddy bear grilled cheese sandwiches and of course teddy grahams were featured. :-) and guest appearances by pinky and princess black bear were in attendance. :)

Just4alicia has a new meaning

She's the only girl to show up for gymnastics today. It should b good getting 1-1 coaching.
