well I think we can officially say Alicia is crawling... the last week or so she has starting to go everywhere...(everywhere that there is carpet anyways..still not too much of a fan of the pergo flooring area still..)
also she has found her voice again. The last few days with the great weather we've been having, the windows and door have been open and the whole neighborhood now can hear Alicia when she is excited and starts to squeal. The other day they asked us, are those happy squeals or upset cries because we can hear her sometimes...I was like they are usually happy screams.. so it is funny, as she is such a small pint-sized peanut and then you hear this opera-like quality screams coming from her... I guess she has a good set of lungs on her :)
well here's a clip of Alicia's normal activities that keep mommy and daddy on her toes...

I got a new swing
When Uncle Billy was in to visit this weekend,
he helped daddy put up my swing on our deck...
I finally got to use it & it is pretty cool.
Anybody want to come over & play??
catch up
Well I think we all had an exhausting weekend, even though we didn't do a whole lot, and we have to thank the lovely flu/cold bug. Alicia and Drew got bit, and I'm hoping that I can escape it all still. On the bright side, Drew and I, along with both of our brothers, Billy and Tony, went to Wrigleyville on Saturday and enjoyed a good Cardinals-Cubs game. Despite the outcome of that game, it was still pretty fun. It was nice to sneak away from Alicia for a few hours that day and know she was in great hands still. Our neighbors Sue and Kaye did a great job watching Alicia, even though poor Alicia was coming down with something all day; when we got home from the game she had been running a temperature and just not herself. So that was the story of Saturday night and Sunday - a 99-101 temperature and an unhappy baby and husband.

Lucky Billy - it was his first baseball game and got a game ball thrown to him by a Cubs player halfway through the game.

Well this is an oldie of a picture, but it was one of my favorites of Alicia and Drew, and I thought it would be a good one for today.

cruise control
Well...what can I say, other than it has been some crazy days and nights lately. At night, Alicia doesn't know how to sleep through the night anymore, it's been like this for several months now I think...some days good, some days not so good. But then during the day it is like she is just mastering so many more things and it is really cool. However, this sleep issue is a bit tough. The pediatricians say it is a phase...boy I'd like to sure know how long these "phases" last. It is crazy...
So it has only been like a week ago or so since she could move and crawl around more, and then just recently sit herself up into a sitting position all on her own. And oh, boy, that has opened soo many doors of opportunities for Alicia...she's beginning to pull herself up on the crib, mommy, daddy, the couch, toys, etc. That move is still a bit in the infancy, but she is doing great at it.. here's a clip of Alicia's latest cruise...

peeps...

so I found out some disturbing news a few years ago that Drew had never ever had a PEEP or even heard of Peeps when he was a child... I think I have never had an Easter where I didn't have a peep...so I had to make sure Alicia followed in my tradition of getting peeps for Easter. So since she can't really have that sugary mass of fluff yet, I found these awesome stuffed Peeps and couldn't pass them up. So here she is enjoying her first carton of Peeps... :)
