Another update, Alicia had her 1 year check up on last Friday, she is now 27.5 inches tall and still a lightweight coming in at a little under 14.5 lbs. She did great through her 2 shots, and only cried when the last shot was almost completely finished up. Well, Alicia's doctors wanted to run a few blood tests on her just to make sure everything is ok and she is growing at an ok rate...she is on the charts for her height, but not exactly close for her weight, so they want to double-check various levels, etc.etc.. to confirm that she is just a small petite baby and there is nothing medically hindering her growth rate. But overall they thought she was doing great, except for the weight. So today, Alicia had a visit to the hospital and had several vials of blood drawn (see her little tape on her arm... so sad... I think mommy was upset by it more than Alicia was) -she was a trooper, she didn't cry when they started the blood draw at all, she did about 2 vials great, and then by the third one she was getting antsy and wanted nothing to do with it, and started to cry, but wow, the lab techs and, of course, us, were so impressed with how brave she was. Then to top it off, Alicia's tears dried up as she showed off her cuteness to the lab techs as she drank the apple juice they gave her from a straw. They were indeed impressed with our little peanut.

updates
Here's Alicia doing her newest weird facial expression... she kinda wiggles up her nose and squints her eyes when she is giggly lately... you can really see her two teeth in this picture if you look close. She is working on the top two teeth now, as the last few days have not been fun for her, it is the same ritual she went through for the first two- runny nose, drooling and sucking her thumb like crazy and not wanting to eat or sleep much. So hopefully we'll see a few more of those little chompers soon.
