the eagle eggs are hatching!!

Alicia has been fascinated with this live eagle feed from Decorah, Iowa the past few days... Hope you get to enjoy it and check it out yourself! http://www.ustream.tv/decoraheagles
Alicia loves having me check in on the eggs to see if they have hatched yet. When we started peeking in on them, the mom and dad bald eagles had been nesting with the 3 eggs and "keeping the babies warm." Supposedly more than 11 million views from over 130 countries have been recorded. That is a bunch of people watching streaming video of the cute bald eagle couple :) Now that is what we call a real "baby story" here, who needs TLC channel and their baby shows! A few cool facts about the amazing eagles...
The eggs were laid in late February. The nest is about 80 feet off the ground, 5-6 feet wide, and they claim it weighs over a ton! The first baby eagles started hatching over the weekend and finally made a cute fuzzy appearance! By Sunday when we checked in, we saw 2 fuzzy eaglets! The link above gives more information and the history of the bald eagle couple too.
