happy halloween!

here's a few pics from our treat or treating adventure, which entailed Alicia running around outside, visiting few neighbors, and of course, checking out all of her new found goodies. We let Alicia enjoy a couple of nibbles off of her Halloween candy tonight, which she seemed to really enjoy. I think she got the love of chocolate from mommy :)

Alicia Stands Up

Hey!

Well, as you can see by the video below. Alicia learned how to stand up on her own today. Previously she would "knee-walk" to the nearest item she could her self up on. You will also notice the quilt/blanket which alicia get up from. This is the blanket Mommy made for Alicia last nite. Our friend Tomi stopped by to help Mommy make this quilt. Tomi gave Mommy/Heather quite a few pointers. Thanks Tomi

One a side note.... a few weeks ago, we took our trip to apple canyon for the 2007 Fall Season. Here are a few pics from that event.

a case of the blahblahs

well this last week I think all of us here have either been sick or still are not feeling 100 percent yet.the cold bug has bitten us here at the kluesner household, however we are trying not to let it get us down. Alicia had pink eye earlier this week with a slight ear infection, mommy has had "allergies gone wild" and now still has a lingering cough that won't go away yet, and daddy wasn't feel so hot at one point last week either with a cold too. so we are all ready for the germs to leave.
not much else to blog here really right now, other than yes, we are still here, just a tad sick and not wanting to do a whole lot. Saturday the weather got really nice here so we had to try out another park, Alicia seemed to enjoy going down the slide by herself (kind of) with daddy to catch her :)

my visit w/ grandma & grandpa

This last weekend, Alicia got to have an overnight stay with Grandma and Grandpa, while Drew and I got to get away for a night for our anniversary. This was Alicia's 1st official slumber party with Drew's family. Overall, it sounded like she had a great time and only one small crying fit, so I think she will be allowed to have a repeat episode since she wasn't too much of a pain :) It was sure nice to have an uninterrupted night of sleep for once and not have to worry about Alicia for one night. We just want to say thanks for much! thanks for the great pics grandma/grandpa, they are priceless...

an ode to grandma/grandpa... thanks for all of the chocolate pudding... it was yummy. mommy and daddy never let me get this messy... note-whatever happens at grandma and grandpa's stays at grandma and grandpa's.....

alicia fun

well not a whole lot going on here except for Alicia has forgotten how to sleep at night again. For the last week or so now, she has not been sleeping well. I think she has more teeth coming in or perhaps, it is because she has had some different routines in the last week or so with her new daycare room transition. I think (knock on wood) it'll pass soon, as Alicia actually did sleep through the night last night, but we'll see...I'm looking for a repeat performance. Oh, how I like to sleep at night ;)

Also, Alicia has been busy at daycare, she is starting to go outside a lot more, try art projects, and other fun stuff. here's Alicia's latest creations...it's pretty cool, in her new daycare room, they try and take pictures every week of the kids participating in all of the fun activities throughout the day and then send pics to the parents. So I'll try and post one of those in the next week or so.

Well now for some fun, here's your dose of laughter for the day... Alicia's a nut, she starts laughing just as I say "ticklebug" in anticipation of what's going to go on and before I even get to touch her... she's a goof sometimes...

a day of transistion

well yesterday and today were big days at daycare for Alicia, as she has been transitioned over to the "toddler room", yep no more baby room! The toddler room consists of kids between the ages of about 14-15 months up to about 24 months. Also with this change, Alicia will be going to daycare twice a week. In Alicia's previous "infant" room, she only went once a week or so, but I think she really liked it there, as she got to see her buds Lucas and Carl there when she did go in. Alicia also enjoyed seeing their mommy's and daddy's visit the daycare too, as I've heard from them that Alicia has cried at times when they have left the room after visiting the boys at lunch hour or when they dropped them off in the morning.
So I guess, the time has come for us to see Alicia leave her original daycare room and move into a new and more exciting room there where she'll find to meet some new friends. I think this transition will be good for Alicia as hopefully she'll learn to communicate better with us and learn some things from the older toddlers in her room. We are hoping for some great things and that Alicia will enjoy her new surroundings and teachers.

what?! no more baby room?!
Alicia chilling outside with her infant room teachers on her last official day.
Alicia with the boys, Lucas and Carl. Boy, we sure have our hands full!
I barely caught a picture of Alicia this morning as she was running around the house before heading off to daycare for her first full toddler day. I think she's ready.... I hope... :)
