taking a dip at lake shangri la

On Saturday, the weather was just absolutely gorgeous, and just in time for us to enjoy some good and relaxing fun at Lake Shangri La near Bristol, Wi., for our friend Mike's big 30th birthday! Mike and Kristin did a great job hosting the fun day at their family's lake house. It was sure a day of firsts for us all... First off, Alicia was playing on the patio furniture earlier in the afternoon and got her 1st bloody nose... yep, she is a little clumsy still and fell right off of a bench just as mommy tried swooping in to catch her fall.. not quick enough, as the little thing got a small bloody nose.. but it was all better in no time, she was a trooper and didn't cry too much at all. Next of firsts, was a dip in the lake! Mommy, daddy, and Alicia all got a little wet and really enjoyed it, the water was nice and warm actually. Then mommy and daddy each got to go tubing and got to get pulled around on a boat driven by the birthday boy, Mike. Alicia watched safely inside the boat. And that brings us to the last first of the day, Alicia got to ride in a boat! I think she really enjoyed herself a lot that day, as she was all smiles for awhile that day.
